Article Writing: 3 Easy Tips to Help You to Write Effective Articles

misty.jpg

If you hate writing articles, relax. It’s a skill you develop with practice, so if you keep writing, eventually you’ll enjoy it. Let’s look at three easy tips to improve your skills.

These tips are my favorites. I’ve been writing content for promotional purposes for over a decade, and these are the ones which have helped me, as well as my students, the most.

1. What’s Your Goal? Know What You Want Your Reader to Do

When you know what you want your reader to do, you know how much information to give to achieve your goals.

If you’re posting an article on your own site, and want others to link to it, in-depth content works best. Shorter pieces of content work better on article directories.

2. Create an Outline: It Saves Time

I like to create outlines for a batch of articles on one day, and then leave the writing for another day. By “outline”, I don’t mean the rigid outlines you learned to write in English class. My outlines are just simple lists: a reminder of what I intend to cover.

You’ll find that if you separate outlining and writing, you’ll be able to write more, and more quickly.

If you find creating content a challenge, here’s what I advise my writing students to do: get away from your computer. Try using pen and paper for your outlines, or use your smartphone or iPad.

3. Promote Your Articles

Don’t omit this step. Each year, the competition for attention increases online. Give your articles a little help, so that they get more attention.

Try social media marketing on sites like Twitter and Facebook. Encourage readers to subscribe to your RSS feed, or create a newsletter.

These article writing tips are simple, and they work. Try them.

Writing Articles: How to Get Paid to Write Articles Today

mabook.jpg

Want to get paid to write articles? There are many ways in which you can do this. In this article I’ll share a unique and extremely powerful method with you, which will ensure that you get a great price for your articles.

I’ve been writing articles for many years, and I spend a large part of every day writing because I know that all my articles make money.

You can this too. It’s great to know how to do this because it means you can make money on demand. The method is great for stay-at-home moms, and anyone who’s out of work. You’ve already got all the tools you need to make money, with just a little bit of creativity.

The method involves making phone calls to local businesses. This needn’t be scary, after you’ve made the second or third call you’ll feel very confident.

Check the web and find businesses in your local area which have websites. Find the phone number of the business and speak to the owner.

Tell him that you can get more traffic to his website, and this means more sales for him. Explain that you’ll write several articles for him. You’ll do this today, and he only needs to pay for the articles if he intends to use them. Of course, if the site owner decides not to use them, you’ll offer them to one of his competitors.

This offer is a no-brainer for most business people. There’s no risk involved.

You’re making such an offer because you want to get a testimonial. Once you have four or five testimonials, you’ll understand what article buyers want and need, and the prices they’re prepared to pay for articles. You’ll find that they’ll pay you more than you expect.

Using this method is much better hunting for writing jobs, or bidding for them on the outsourcing sites. When you hunt for writing jobs, you’ll soon become aware that the people who advertise are only willing to pay extremely low rates.

Using my method, you’ll find that you get paid much more, and that you enjoy the writing more. You’re making friends, and becoming known, and soon you’ll have more article writing jobs that you can handle.

Writing Articles for Money – Write Fast, Write Well and Sell

moon.jpg

The web has a huge appetite for content. This means that thousands of people are making money writing articles from home. Some are scratching a living, but others are making a great income. This is a viable business if you can write quality articles, and can write them quickly.

I’ve been writing articles for websites for 15 years, and nowadays focus on creating content for my own sites, which I monetize in various ways.

Over the years, I’ve seen many writers making unnecessary mistakes. Here’s how you can avoid them, so that you can create a successful business.

1. Treat Article Writing Like a Business, Because It Is

This is a business. This means that you need to have inventory (content to sell), you need to have a place of business (a website or blog), and you also need to make sales. The more professional you are, and the more you treat your writing like a business, the more your income will rise.

Don’t stop writing while you’re trying to make sales. I’ve seen many writers who write 10 or 20 articles, and then stop. They want to make sales. That’s fine, but your initial sale may take several weeks, depending on how effective you are at promotions.

If you keep writing, once you start selling, you’ll have 400 articles to sell, rather than 20.

In this particular business, you’re creating product, you’re promoting it, and you’re selling it. Those are the fundamentals: stick to them, and you’ll do well.

2. Quality Content Is Valuable, So Don’t Give It Away

There’s a huge range of fees which are paid for this type of web content. At the lower end, writers are making $5 or $10 per article. At the higher end, writers make a dollar or more per WORD.

Over the past year, I’ve seen many of my writing students start off selling articles at low rates, and gradually establish themselves until they’re making very high rates. At that stage, they have a list of clients who regularly buy articles from them. They don’t need to advertise, they have more work than they can handle.

3. Got a Portfolio? Your Portfolio Sells

Do you have a blog? I encourage my students to create a blog, because it’s the simplest way to create a portfolio of work. Every post on the blog showcases your talents. Blogging is an extremely low-cost form of advertising, and it works.

The big benefit of developing a blog to showcase your portfolio is that it builds your credibility online. Within a month or two, clients will start to find you via your blog, and will hire you.

The gold rush for online content doesn’t show any signs of slowing down soon. Therefore, if you want to develop a great home business, try writing articles for money.

Article Writing Hotshot – Write and Sell Using Articles

Content marketing using articles is a perfect way to sell online. You provide the information your audience is searching for, and in return you get the chance to advertise to them. In this article we’ll look at three simple steps which will help you to write and sell, using articles.

Article marketing, which is a form of content marketing, has been growing in popularity for almost a decade. The economic downturn has made this process even more appealing to marketers at companies both large and small.

Here are the steps.

1. Choose What You Want to Sell

You can sell almost any product or service by writing articles for promotion.

Indeed you can even build an entire business on writing articles, either writing them for others, or writing articles for yourself so that you can use them to promote various affiliate products.

Over time your articles will become very profitable for you, because unlike other forms of advertising, your articles will keep selling for you for years. This means that their effect is cumulative.

Your articles will stay online, attracting traffic, and making sales, long after you’ve forgotten about them.

2. Create an Article Marketing Campaign

Once you’ve decided what you want to sell, your next step is to create an article marketing campaign.

Before you launch your campaign, decide:

* What your goals are;

* How many articles you’ll need to write to achieve those goals;

* How you’ll track the results of your campaign.

There are many online tools which will help you track your results, both free and commercial tools. Don’t omit tracking — it’s vital.

3. Realize That Your Content Can Be Repurposed

Over time, you’ll develop large collections of articles which you’ve created for various campaigns.

This content can be repurposed. How you choose to do this depends on the industry you’re in. Consider compiling articles into reports and white papers. You can even turn them into video scripts.

So there you have it: you can become an article writing hotshot, when you write and sell, using articles.

If you’ve spent time in any of the “make money online” or “Internet marketing” venues, you’ll hear a lot about article marketing. People tend to have strong opinions, both for, and against it.

On the other:

Easy Article Writing: Write a New Article Within 20 Minutes

Writing articles is very easy. It can be fast too. Now, I’m not talking about writing junk. We’ve all seen junk articles on the article directories, and these are worse than useless for any site. As the Web becomes more competitive, you must write quality articles.

Let’s look at how you do this.

Before we start, something about me. I’ve been writing for three decades, so obviously when I say something is easy, for me it is.

If you’re a complete beginner, expect it to take at least a few weeks before it becomes easy for you, too. Once you get the hang of it, it’s not only simple and easy, it’s fun too.

Here’s how writing an article works:

* You choose a topic (or, if you’e being hired to write, someone gives you a topic)

* You do basic research

* You select one primary keyword (one targeted keyword is more than enough for an article of 200 to 500 words)

* You draft your article (a super fast top-of-mind run-through). This is a cross between an outline and a list of ideas

* You write the article from your draft

* You edit your article

* You’re done.

I can do all of the above in less than 20 minutes.

When you’re starting out, expect it to take you a couple of hours for your first article. With each article you write, you’ll take less time. Over a couple of weeks, you’ll get faster at it.

Here’s what I want you to do now. Decide that you can, and will, make $100,000 a year, just from writing Web articles. This can start out as a part-time process — spend an hour or two in the evenings writing articles. As soon as you replace your full-time income, you can quit, and from then on your income will increase, as you have more time to spend on articles.

Writing Articles: a Simple Writing Strategy You Can Use

Anyone can turn writing articles into a great part-time or job, or even a bustling and profitable full-time business. Articles are huge, because there’s a never-ending demand for content on the Web. Every site wants more and more content, and if you can deliver that content, you’re golden.

You’ll get better at writing your articles with practice, and once you learn a few simple strategies. I’ve been writing for 30 years, and have written thousands of Web articles; creating articles for my sites and blogs is fun for me.

Not fun for you? It will be, once you learn some simple strategies.

Here’s one strategy I’ve found very useful: separate keyword research, and writing titles, from writing the articles.

I do all my keyword research with Market Samurai, which is not only the best keyword tool, it’s also the best online marketing tool ever.

Once I’ve chosen some keywords with a good number of daily searches, and as little competition as possible, I write a series of article titles — usually about ten at a time for one topic.

I don’t spend too long agonizing over titles. Since I want my titles to be found quickly, I use the main keyword somewhere in the title, and try to make the title as intriguing as possible — without going completely over the top.

Once I’ve written the titles, I load them onto my iPad, so that I can access them wherever I am. Then, if I have some free time before a meeting starts, I can use the time to work on the articles.

If you want more article writing strategies, check out my fast article writing guide. Gary, one of my early readers, said: “only an hour and a quarter after downloading it I’ve listed 69 article titles and written 4 new article drafts.”
